Fast, smart, secure transactions
About smart cards
Smart cards are perfect for cashless catering. Payments are made extremely quickly (less than two seconds) by simply holding your card next to a contactless reader. At the end of service there’s no cash to count or to bank. Parents top the cards up online either by credit or debit card or by bank transfer and they can also see a breakdown of purchases too.
Easy and discrete free school meal administration
Free school meals can be administered directly by the school with a set value loaded onto recipient’s cards on a daily basis. There is nothing to differentiate recipients in the purchasing process from other students.
Getting started
Each pupil at the school is issued with a contactless smart card linked to them. Pupil details, the school badge and even pupil photos can be added to the cards if desired. If you have an existing smart card used in the school many cases sQuid can be added to your existing system, allowing parents to top up online.

Add school trip payments
As well as topping up their child’s cashless catering account and viewing transactions, parents can also use the sQuid portal to make online payments to your school for trips, uniform and more. If you’re a Pebble School Fund Manager (SFM) customer you can also administer the setup and receipt of the payments directly from SFM, saving you even more time and administration.
Lost cards
When a card is lost it can be blocked to stop any further usage. A replacement card can then be registered to the students account and the remaining balance will be transferred over to the new card.
