Visitors to Paris event to experience A Contactless Universe

Contactless smart card technology and other similar systems will be showcased at a special display this month.

Dubbed A Contactless Universe, the presentation will be made by INSIDE Contactless as part of the Cartes & IDentification Congress 2009.

The showcase will include information on mobile payment solutions, near-field communication technology and other contactless innovations.

Charles Walton, executive vice-president at INSIDE Contactless, said: "Contactless technologies are approaching escape velocity with an expanding diversity of applications and novel approaches."

He added that his firm has developed strategies and created strong partnerships that enhance the "contactless universe".

Cartes and IDentification 2009 is set to run between November 17th and 19th in Paris.

Over 20,000 visitors and 1,500 delegates are expected to attend, making it one of the top events in the world for digital security and contactless smart card technology providers.

It comes at an "exciting" time for the industry, according to Smart Card Alliance executive director Randy Vanderhoof.
